Hi, it’s Mayuko Hagiwara of Wiggle High5. After competing in 2 long stage races, Giro Rosa and Internationale Thuringen Rundfahrt der Frauen, I took part in RideLondon, which is part of the new Women’s WorldTour. The route was 5km long in the heart of London.  Although the distance of the race was quite short of 66km compared to other World Tour events, the race attracted large crowds of spectators. Mayuko Hagiwara Blog: Team Player at the Giro Rosa

After having made a return to the race from rehabilitation in the Japanese National Championships Road Race at the end of June, I travelled to Italy to participate Giro Rosa, which would last 10 days. In this year’s Giro, the team made magnificent results, winning four stages with Elisa achieving the Queen of Mountains jersey. Mayuko Hagiwara “On a mission”

Born on the 16th of October 1986 in Maebashi, Japan Hagiwara joins Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling on the back of an impressive season in which she became an Olympian, and dual Japanese National Champion. After graduating from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya, Hagiwara joined the locally sponsored Cycle Base Asahi cycling team.
