Chloe Hosking was born on the 1 October, 1990 in Bendigo, Australia. The 24-year old picked up cycling at the age of twelve after having competed in field hockey and rock climbing as a child. Studying Communications, specificly journalism Hosking turned pro with the HTC-Highroad team, later Specialized-Lululemon in 2010 before switching to Hitec-Products in 2013. Last year she joined the team together with her Hitec-Products teammates Elisa Longo Borghini and Audrey Cordon-Ragot.
Over the years Hosking developed into a respected sprinter and one of the strongest lead-out riders in the world. She competed for Australia at two Commonwealth Games, the Road World Championships in Copenhagen and the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Her biggest wins thus far are the overall win in the Tour of Chongming Island (2009), the Drentse 8 (2012), Halle-Buizingen (2012), a stage in the Holland Ladies Tour (2013), the Omloop van Borsele (2014), the GP Morbihan (2015) and the Marianne Vos Classic (2015). Especially the last one is one to remember as she outsprinted Marianne Vos herself to take the win.
Chloe’s 2015 season came to an end early because she suffered a serious hand injury after a stupid crash in July. Chloe is determined to come back even stronger in 2016 and to aim for a good result at the World Championships in Qatar in October.
Chloe’s sprint abilities and determination makes her an indispensable member of the team.
