The event is an opportunity for cycling fans to ride with Sir Bradley Wiggins, the first ever British winner of the Tour de France, as well as Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling’s stars. With a choice of three courses of 50km, 100km and 160km, the event starts in Barnoldswick, Lancashire, and take in such renowned climbs as Nick o’ Pendle and the Trough of Bowland.

All profits  go towards the Bradley Wiggins Foundation, which “aims to promote participation in sport and to provide support to local individuals, groups and communities.” After last year’s event Sir Bradley spoke about his desire to support a professional women’s team and, with the creation of  Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling soon afterwards, the Foundation became one of its key sponsors.

“It is fantastic to be able to ride alongside fans in the Ride with Brad Sportive,” said Dani King. “As a team we are really lucky to be supported by the Bradley Wiggins Foundation, so it is lovely to be able to give something back to say thank you.”

“We had incredible support from fans during the Olympics, I can’t wait to have the opportunity to meet some of them, have a chat and do what we like doing best; riding our bikes,” echoed Laura Trott, who just added three European track titles to her already extensive list of victories.
